~Our Soul Purpose is to LOVE~
As I prepared to write my first post I prayed and meditated on what it should be about and immediately the word love came to me and then living from love and lighting the way. So, here it goes. Love is such a multifaceted word. In some form or another love is expressed in a relationship whether it be a relationship with another person, with one’s self, or a job to name a few. To truly love, one must first love herself or himself. This is not a vain sort of love but a true knowing of one’s self to be able to spread love to others. Many would say that the love of God (or whatever you choose to call it or not call it-the Universe, Higher Consciousness, Spirit, Great Spirit, Allah) is of the utmost importance while others may say love of their family. No matter what or who we love it’s important to know that we are all loved, we are never alone, and we are all connected.
Living from love is to first accept who you truly are and then be able to accept another for who they are. This means not controlling them or trying to change who they are. We are all unique and have our own paths to follow so if you change who you are to be with someone or to fit in, you are not living in your truth. Living from love means not judging others. We may never know the struggles someone may be going through. It would be from a place of love to just send someone love or light without them even knowing it. You never know, it could help lift them up instead of judging and bringing them down.
Lighting the way is to help and encourage others using your own unique gifts and talents. It could be as simple as listening. There is no one right way, religion, philosophy, or way of being. There is within all of us God, Source, Light, Love, Universal Consciousness, Higher Intelligence; we all have light within us if we will only take the time to stop and be with it. This can be through prayer, meditation, walking in nature, or being in silence to hear the voice within. It may take some practice but is well worth your inner peace and feeling the love and light we all deserve, desire and have within us.
This is worth repeating: we are all loved, we are never alone, and we are all connected. There is no greater gift than to love!
What does love mean to you? You can leave a comment on what love means to you to help spread more love and light.
